When I went to University, I made sure to act as if I was confident, smiling constantly and look 'cool and approachable' without actually speaking. If I did this, then classmates behaved very nicely and respectful and added me to their group even though I stutter. I only spoke to them if I was mentally ready. Otherwise I was fine listening. I advice you to join study and student associations, one is for the course and the other for the cluster and join the sport association and believe me, the price for sport membership is much cheaper on the campus
