I guess they might think that it's not such a big of a deal when compared to blindness or deafness. But then just tell them to imagine how much an average human must talk during their life, and how it would feel if they couldn't properly talk. Stuttering has caused me to quit so many things I enjoyed. They can't even comprehend how much it drains you. Are there people who have it worse than we? Ofc. Does this make our suffering less real? Nope.
