When I was in my 8th grade art class I was having a conversation with a really nice girl who understands my stutter and as we were talking I was having a stuttering fit and she comforted me by saying that it was okay and she doesn’t smile or laugh which no one ever says or does to me when I stutter. I would rather people say it’s okay than have them laugh jokingly and make the conversation awkward. I’m very thankful to have someone who understands it more than is confused as to what is happening.
