Sometimes no matter what you do, you're going to stutter. Just like how sometimes you work your ass off for fluency, and other times you just happen to be fluent with little effort, even if it's for only a few words. What I've found helpful is to get in the habit of regularly letting people know that you have a speech impediment/disorder/your word of choice that causes you to stutter, and that you just ask them for their patience. And to read Self Therapy for the Stutterer, which is hosted for free on The Stuttering Foundation's website. Front to back, and consult it regularly.
