Hi! I'm a native Chinese speaker who (obviously) also speaks English! Maybe when I was learning English, I stuttered in it (I couldn't recall. It was so long ago) But now that I'm fluent in English, I feel that I stutter much less when speaking English. Probably because 1. Not many English words start with my block sound (the "wooo" sound in wood) 2. Similarly, my scariest block word in Chinese doesn't exist in English ;) 3. I feel people are more patient and forgiving to me when I speak English, and they also won't attribute my stammering to my stutter, but to my unfamiliarity with a second language, which is particularly relieving. 4. I only use English in a professional setting where communication is more thoughtful and slower.
