Does better fluency in a language lessen the effect of stuttering since we are comfortable with the words? I was thinking when we are fluent in a language, we don't tend to use our brains a lot while formulating sentences, while on the contrary, in languages that we are not too fluent in, we tend to work our brains relatively more, thinking as to what is the correct word, or how to correctly say the sentence. Maybe this itself increases stuttering, as we can see in the case for a non-stuttering person, where even they tend to "fumble" in words which their brains are not processing that fast.
