I don't agree. Many pioneers in scientific world were people outside of the scientific circles. And science apparently doesn't give a damn about our stuttering (I think we'll sooner travel to the Mars than science solving the stutterer's problem, which is only affects a small percentage of people so it's not profitable). A person with first-hand experience can have more insightful ideas than a random scientists who never even stuttered. And personally, I couldn't care less if something is "scientific" or not, as long as it's working for me and improving my situation. And I definitely won't wait for the "holy" science to finally solve this problem, but I'll grab any possible solutions to solve my own problems because I owe myself to do it. edit: typo
