I had an experience last week where I raised my voice at someone for first time at work. I’m a manager and he walked out of the store without telling anyone and then didn’t listen to me because he was on his phone. I was that annoyed that I didn’t stutter once and I realised that when you put some emotion into your speech, you tend to focus more on that than your stutter. If someone’s being a dick to you then by all means, be a dick back, especially if it helps your speech. Another thing you could do is, next time you see your old teacher, speak to them. If you’re in a better place now and stuttering isn’t too much of an issue then chances are, you’ll be fine speaking with them. Prove to them that you can speak fluently and it will boost your confidence!
