Although I wouldn't call my stutter severe, I also struggle with my words at times. I was much worse when me and my partner of five years first met. I had the same thoughts as you - that I might not ever find someone. But it'll happen, usually the minute you least expect it. My partner says he finds my stutter endearing. I sometimes think we notice, and care so much more, about our little faults than anyone else does.
