Negatively. People avoid speaking to you in social settings and make fun behind your back or in your face. People assume you’re not intelligent (both adults and kids) throughout school, university and work. They assume you’re shy even though you know what to say. You’re seen as weak because of it. You develop bad anxiety and poor social skills due to the stutter. People get offended and resent you because of this. Relationship are even harder (especially male). Can’t even do phone call and have to prepare yourself because you know you’ll stutter.
