If you acknowledge (or listen to) your stutter trigger, always expect this trigger without reacting to it, then whenever you think about a feared letter, then you won't switch to fight or flight response or rumination. Because then you learned to not react to the feared letter \[trigger\], which then doesn't lead to making the monster bigger in your mind.
