Yes, see the clip below. I don't think they teach gliding anymore because I didn't see you tube videos out there on it. I got that therapy in about 1976, so things might have changed a lot since then. But gliding means when you come to words or letter that often trip you up (for me Ms, Ps, Ls, etc.) instead of forcing yourself to say them with more air or a loud stutter, you just slowly glide over the first sound, so Mary becomes mhhhhmary or Bob becomes bhhhaaahhb. Here is an spoof of Carl Sagan that Johny Carson does where he exenuates how Carl Sagan speaks.
