You're absolutely correct on all points. It WAS the kings speech. And yes, I've irreparably damaged important relationships this way. Before I even realized what I was doing or why I was doing it. There are probably better ways of dealing with such problems.... This was just my solution, and I wasn't even fully aware I was doing it.
