IYO, Is stuttering simply a consequence of using our mind in a maladaptive way? My stuttering is genetic because my mum stutters.. still.. **This doesn't mean we can't speak fluently** if we: 1. don't think about it 2. don't care about stuttering 3. don't overthink 4. don't care about the listeners 5. if we speak alone 6. if we speak monotone 7. if we focus on others (instead of ourselves) 8. if we focus on what (instead of how) we say 9. if we focus on our breathing (to distract us from pressure to speak more fluently) 10. .. and I can continue writing 100x other things **Do you think that stuttering is simply a consequence of using our mind in a maladaptive way?** **What if it's true that we maintain the stutter disorder simply because we incorrectly implement our mind?** That is obviously, despite genetics/neurology
