former stuttering signs returning My girlfriend stutters. She told me she has been stuttering since she was 5 years old. She also told me that her stutter was at it's most severe when she was in high school. But with speech therapy and other technique her stutter has been "less noticeable". However in recent months, my gf's stutter has become more noticeable and "frequent" and lately whenever gets she gets blocked she would flap her hands as a kind of involuntary movement type of thing. She told me she hasn't flapped her hands when stuttering since she was a kid. Can "former signs" of stutter return like this? Is it common? My gf is depressed that her stutter is getting worse and I want to make her feel better and make the best of it :)
