I feel like my stutter has gotten worse out of nowhere?? I’m 20(f) i’ve had a stutter for years now and used to go to a speech help class thing in elementary school but I still have a pretty bad stutter. Anyways, i’ve noticed in the last 2 weeks or so it has gotten worse. I’ve been experiencing a lot of word blocks lately too, i’ve been pacing myself and trying to practice my breathing but nothing seems to be helping and it’s becoming extremely frustrating and making me feel like shit. I honestly feel so hopeless and don’t think I have a good future when I can’t even talk right. Sometimes I have my good days and hardly ever stutter, but now it’s happening all the time I have no idea what’s happening or what’s caused it but it’s making me really angry and frustrated. I overall have a “off sounding” voice and have considered vocal surgery, not sure how to describe it but it has this weird thickness to it that can make me hard to understand. But anyways, does anyone have tips or tricks that they have found very useful? Edit: I have been thinking about starting speech therapy, I definitely need it and want to know if anyone has found it useful?
