I stutter badly but use the Edinburgh Masker stuttering prosthesis which greatly reduces my stuttering. My first job after getting the Edinburgh Masker was as a driving license hearing officer for the Illinois Secretary of State. It opened my eyes to the horrible effects of alcohol. I had several people who stuttered who lost their licenses from DUI. Stuttering is bad enough. If you stutter and lose your driving license, that is horrible. I am now a non drinker and advise everyone who stutters to stay away from alcohol.
