A few tricks I learned (and still use) during speech therapy as a kid was: 1. Pause and exhale some air as you slowly start the word. Don’t force the word, just try to ease into it as you exhale air. For me this works best because most of my stuttering happens at the beginning of words. It feels awkward but beats the awkwardness of getting stuck on a sound/word for a few seconds. 2. Try to be mindful of how tight your jaw gets. It’s easier said than done because it’s very difficult to keep relaxed when nervous, but helps tremendously. 3. Starting a word by either blinking, hand movement, or some other kind of movement. It makes me focus on what I’m currently doing rather than a potential block. This is probably my favorite one because it’s the most natural feeling. Idk if any of these will help you. I have a pretty moderate to sever stutter depending on the day and these help me a lot. Good luck man.
