i've never tried to adopt this as means to successfully stay fluent in everyday back and fourth. but, i was a vocalist in a band for a long time. singing has the same impact. stutterers don't stutter when they sing- but less so due to some augmented feeling of confidence and/or self-esteem. if i had to guess, acting is likely similar. it just requires you to call on and express words differently than normal speech. more than anything, you've got to be comfortable. so, if it doesn't feel natural to put on a short skit every single time you talk to anyone, then definitely don't do it. but, if going into character- whatever that may be- helps you in some way feel more comfortable in your own skin, then go for it. we all have our tricks to stay fluent; whatever means necessary without sacrificing something even integral, like self-identity.
