Hey OP, you are definitely not pathetic! Please do not be so harsh on yourself and do give yourself some credit From experience, it has gotten for me with age, maybe because I’ve had to work in heavily people focussed roles and done presentations, but that’s just me Stuttering isn’t your whole personality at all. I’m sure you are a son, a friend, maybe a sibling etc. and on top of that a very young man with the rest of his life ahead of him! Yes, it’s painful now, and I’m sorry it’s affecting you, but it will get better as you get older. You need to have some patience with yourself The only thing I will say that will NOT help a stutter is if you close yourself off from your friends, family and the outside world because things get you down You still have a lot of life to experience and a lot to live for, and you’ll overcome the issues you’re facing. Best of luck with everything, OP. The entire r/stutter community is behind you!
