Literally this. To me its something that people notice and care about because I notice and care about it but in all reality in my 24 years of living with this, no one gives a shit. The people that do, you more than likely don't want them in your life anyway but I have yet to meet someone like that. Don't let your anxiety get the best of you and take your name out of the hat. Leave it in and see whats happens because you're only projecting how you feel onto the interviewer, chances are they didn't notice nor care. They also asked you to apply to other positions if you don't get this one. I've been told that and still got the position I first applied for. I wouldn't take what they said lightly in the way that they want you in the company even if you dont get your desired position. It's a good sign, not a bad one.
