I understand how you feel completely. But let me ask you this - when you were born, did somebody give you the choice between stuttering and not stuttering? We didn't have a choice in this. It's just the hand we're dealt. Why should you or I or anybody else who stutters feel bad about it? People in general are still very ignorant when it comes to stuttering. I've had so many arguments recently with people who think Joe Biden is suffering from dementia when really what they're seeing is him getting stuck on his words and trying to get unstuck. He's the president and people still don't get it. My point is - don't hate yourself for something you didn't ask for. We go through enough shit as it is without torturing ourselves. I can tell you, one of the happiest dudes I've ever known was a man I met at a National Stuttering Association meeting. He stuttered worse than anyone else I've ever known. But he didn't judge himself for it and he was unapologetic for it. For me, that's the goal at this point. I know I'm going to stutter my entire life. Now it's just a matter of truly being ok with it.
