I can’t even say “hello” and “have” without stuttering on the h part but I can say “hi” just fine 😅 So I think it may also depend on the following vowel in some cases too. But thanks for the tip, I may have to try that with some other words. Also strangely enough, I found out recently that when I talk without thinking I don’t stutter as much. Like if I don’t think about what I want to say which always makes me worry about stuttering, a stutter is less likely to come out. I was taught from speech therapists that I have to think about what I’ll say first to help with the stuttering. And when I’m around people I’m most comfortable with (including talking to myself when I’m alone) my stutter is almost nonexistent. So I think it’s also caused by anxiety, not just genetics or the screwed up speech part of my brain. I just wish stuttering wasn’t even a thing, it’s so unfair 🙄
