I’ve been exactly where you are. When I was 16 I went to the principal and told them my parents were getting a divorce (which was a lie) and it’s had a huge effect on my stuttering and I don’t want to talk in class anymore, they said ok, you may try something like that. Fact of the matter is you’re in high school and stuttering is so difficult to deal with, once you graduate. It’ll be much easier. You can get jobs where you’re not required to talk as much and you have more say in what you do socially. This is what I did, I can tell you I never gave up, and eventually went on to become completely fluent in my mid 40s. Hang in there it will be much easier after high school.
