I've been working retail for almost a year now and I honestly haven't had too many management issues with my stutter. The only thing that ever happened was a supervisor asked me if I'm nervous bc I stutter more when I'm nervous so I told her "no, I was just born this way" and walked away. That was the end of that. I absolutely dread the thought of secretary work and answering phones so that's commendable you were able to work that job for as long as you did. You're still young and that makes it very easy to go back to school whether it's community college, a public university, or trade school. You can do literally anything you want at this age so I encourage you to start researching schools. I'm currently a freshman and I'm already on the e-board of a club and am committed to research in spite of my stutter resulting in blocks, repetitions, and drawing out sounds. My stutter is really bad but I don't let that stop me from being where I am today. You have to tell yourself you are greater than your stutter and when you do, you welcome in so much success and good things into your life. I wish you good luck with everything in life and I hope your future brightens up!
