Yeah, I am personally of the opinion that it is beneficial to do as little of this stuff is possible. Stuttering is really just a vicious cycle of anxiety and avoidances, so the more avoidances you do, the more anxious you get, and the worse it gets. Lifelong stutterer here, speaking after having worked through 2 years of speech therapy as an adult. It’s a long road to getting to acceptance, but it’s worth it. And a journey I’m still on. I also think you’ll find that people care less than you think they do that you have a stutter. From other people’s perspective it’s not that different from having, say, a thick accent. People want to understand you— especially when it’s their job like at a Chipotle.
