Do you ever get that awkward moment when someone inadvertently laughs at your stutter?

Do you ever get that awkward moment when someone inadvertently laughs at your stutter? I've had a few meetings at work where I stutter and some people laugh. Usually people who I'm meeting for the first time. I can tell that they don't really mean to but the sounds come out really funny sometimes. Situation is also very awkward cause the rest of the room look at them like assholes and the embarrassment just makes me stutter more.
