Don't know about this in particular, I've heard of some medications being used in Russia but not in the US where a different medication went through FDA approval instead. Protip: don't try to treat stuttering using vodka. I stutter a bit less when drunk, but there's not enough of a benefit to justify becoming alcoholic.
