I think the speech therapist term for this is 'smooth speech' or something, but it just means try and blend the first word into the next. I find it helps me speak on the phone. With a word like dollars this might help because there's always a word in front. So say, when saying 'thirteen dollars' you'd imagine you calmly and smoothly combined the two word into 'thirteendollars'.
