The problem I have with those kind of techniques is that it all sounds good in theory and usually works in comfortable and controlled settings (eg. at home or when you are alone). Once I get into new, emotional and stressful situations, the tension and anxiety is just too high and I almost subconsciously revert back to my old patterns and ways of speaking. I feel like you have to have a decent amount of self awareness, control and relaxation to pull those techniques off in real world situations. Do you have any tips on this mental side of stuttering?
