Thank you for your reply! He does want to quit speech therapy. How did you know? I don't think I can let him quit right now. I want him to know it's part of growing up- just practicing his hobbies/ interests. Yours is a hopeful story. Thank you for sharing it with me. I might share it with him should an opportunity arise. Right now, he gets irritated at me quickly when we talk about his fluency. He'd be so mad to know I am on "reddit stuttering", but there is little community for stuttering people or for those that love someone who stutters. I've tried to push my teen towards a summer camp (he yelled at me), or a meet up with other stuttering teens (he won't) in our area of the world. He just wants to be like everyone else as most teens do and doesn't want to be "different". Thank you for taking the time to write to me. I am so happy to hear that therapy worked for you. I know my teen is a lifelong stutterer too.
