Hi I’m 27 so in the same late 20s boat. It seems you identify very closely with your stutter, which is natural but can be quite a hindrance. I’ve had customer service retail jobs for 7 years, been in multiple friend groups throughout high school/college/grad school, and am in my second serious relationship (5 years ongoing). In my experience (taken with a grain of salt as I’m not sure how severe your stutter is), you care waaaay more about your stutter than anyone else does. There’s just so much more you have to offer others, and I wouldn’t focus on what you lack (fluency). If you focus on it, then others will too when it doesn’t have to be that way. Changes don’t happen sitting on the sidelines asking what if, even if it’s intimidating and uncomfortable at first I’d start making the right small steps to what you want.
