Everyone makes technological advances except standard speech therapy. Bad speech (stuttering) is analogous to bad hearing/vision. We use a prosthetic to correct a physical problem. I put on my eyeglasses and Edinburgh Masker on in the morning and take them off at night. As long as I am using the prostheses my vision and speech are OK. When I take them off at night, my vision and speech are less than OK. Without my eyeglasses and Edinburgh Masker I would have uncorrected vision and speech problems. Thanks to technology my problems are under control.
