I met my husband (who stutters) through his sister, who I became friends with when we were all undergrads. He went to a different college but we met when I was visiting her at their parents’ house, thought he was hot (shallow but true, plus his sister had said lots of good things about him), and we started texting. It was semi-long distance at first because our schools were a few hours apart, but I would travel to see him with his sister once or twice a month. Once we started actually dating, he’d visit us once or twice a month so we’d see each other most weeks.
