I’m a doctor with a mild/moderate stutter. When I present at the morning meetings, they wait for me to finish my sentence. Everyone is professional about it. I wouldn’t expect any less in the workplace. It hasn’t hindered me in any way, even when I do large presentations in front of 100-150 people. It helps that I know what letters I stammer with and English is my first language so I’ve learned to substitute words for their synonyms if I know I’ll struggle with it. But for the words I can’t avoid, I stammer my way through. They’ll wait for you, they don’t have a choice.
