Are you going to deny the major leaps in our ability to manage disorders of the body and brain due to our understanding of genetics? Epilepsy would not be managed as well as it is without the contribution of genetics. Stuttering is no different to all the other disorders that genetics has contributed to. Indeed, genetics has an 80% influence on the causes of stuttering. The status quo, which you're advocating for, is outdated and unsustainable. We can do better, and in fact, we deserve much better than the status quo.
