This is a really interesting topic. Sometimes I wonder if there should be a sticky thread just for this, because it would be great to compile everyone's ideas about the easiest careers for people who stutter severely. Of course the list can't ever be comprehensive, and with determination and ingenuity people can sometimes accomplish surprising things, but it's also not fair to say that a person who stutters can do absolutely *anything* if they try hard enough. You probably can't be an air traffic controller or a radio newsreader, however hard you try. So, off the top of my head: * Pastry chef * Web designer * Engineer * Research scientist * Electrician * Fisherperson * Clothing designer I guess the easiest rule-of-thumb is to avoid customer-facing roles. If you want to maximise your earnings, you'll need to find employment based on your technical skills rather than communication skills, which makes skilled trades and STEM subjects a good bet. Can anyone chime in with more thoughts and ideas?
