Some people view stuttering as a "reaction" to a certain emotion or sound or word or person. Perhaps when you are approaching a "B" sound you are mentally aware and preparing yourself for a block because you're so used to stuttering on the B sound. While I don't consider my stutter a habit, I do believe that if I forgot that I ever stuttered and forgot all the emotions towards stuttering, my speech would drastically improve.
