I also started stuttering in my teens. I’m not sure what caused it tbh. It gets really bad when I’m depressed, otherwise it just shows up randomly. Sometimes I get stuck repeating/extending sounds or syllables, but sometimes it will feel like I’m stuck in a word or phrase loop. Stuttering is often due to something in the brain, which makes it incredibly difficult to pin down causes and makes everyone’s experience with it a little different.
