DAE feel like their stutter is holding them back from forming social relationships?

DAE feel like their stutter is holding them back from forming social relationships? My girlfriend is kinda upset that I don't talk to her family as much as I maybe could, I'm not sure if it's down to my stutter or to my anxiety but we've been together for over a year now, I was wondering if it happens or has happened to anyone else here?
