Began stuttering at 18, is this permanent?

Began stuttering at 18, is this permanent? Hello. My case with stuttering I think is a little different than most peoples who stutter. I began to stutter at the age of 18, before that I used to be extremely fluent and couldn’t recall a time where I had a hard time talking. I am now 21 and my stuttering still exists. I am afraid that this is going to be with me for the rest of my life now. What do you guys think? Has anybody else had a similar experience? Thank you and god bless you all.
