Well, I wouldn't think of it in those terms, so the proposition makes no sense to me. :) We don't 'stutter because we have a mindset'. We 'have a mindset because we stutter'. Not mechanically so, but tendentially. There are many differences available in the way we go about coping with things (or at least attempt to do so). So no, it doesn't make sense to me. Stutter isn't just "forgot". It's there, and we deal with it. We're not doing it to ourselves - but we _are_ able to help ourselves, in fact.
