Hey! I’m a speech therapist and might be able to provide some insight! Everyone has moments of dysfluency, so it could be a transient thing. If your dysfluency continues and is accompanied by a feeling of loss of control then you might want to see if you can receive a fluency evaluation. If you’re in high school your school or district will likely have an slp and If a teacher refers you this is a good avenue. That being said there are tons of things that intensify how dysfluent anybody is, even if they don’t have a “true stutter”. Things like: Anxiety High pressure Lack of sleep Social situations (large groups/ public speaking) Explaining something complicated Too much caffeine Tons and tons of things can cause dysfluency so don’t get too freaked out quite yet! If you don’t see any reason or certain situations that your stutter increases then maybe find an slp to do a fluency eval Hope this helped!
