For me, blocking could be anywhere between 6-10 seconds before attempting again, then get blocked again. Then when I do say it, it sometimes sounds like I’m out of breath. Stuttering (for me) really depends on the person, place, and relationship. I find that I stutter less when around people I’m close friends, but for some reason could barely say a sentence to my parents/siblings. And when talking to adults (like teachers for example) I tend to stutter with them more. I could barely get out a sentence, when I do they don’t understand what I said so I would have to repeat it just for me to stutter even more. This happens with other people around my age almost daily. A severe stutter could vary person to person, I and my parents considers me as a severe stutter, some of my friends (who I’m close with) barely noticed I have a stutter which is good. Not even done with high school yet and I’m still stressing about what to do for a job, especially with my stutter.
