Should I speak slowly if it means stuttering less?
Content
Should I speak slowly if it means stuttering less? I am a young male who naturally speaks fast. I have noticed that everytime I slow down my speech, I am a lot more fluent, and the amount of stress that I undergo as I speak (I’m sure you all can relate to this) goes WAY down. However I feel like I’m sacrificing a part of myself just to speak fluently, as I’m naturally a fast talker. And also, I think that it’d be hard to be funny while speaking slowly, which is a big part of my personality What does everyone this of this? Should I make the sacrifice in speech pace for fluency, or is it just not worth it?
