Rabbi, thesaurus, statistic (even typing it is making me nervous), synesthesia “Rabbi” I think because of a specific incident that may have been the turning point in my stutter. I was in first grade. My teacher was a rabbi. I tried to say his name to address him but i stuttered very hard. Laughter. I laughed with them but I’m sure my face was bright red. I’ve struggled with the word since. After that, without a speech therapist’s help I tried extremely hard to not stuttering in public. I talked in a very stilted way for years but recently the stutter just won’t come out in public. I still have it though. I’m just so used to working around it that when I’m with anyone outside of my immediate family I automatically switch words. The other three words are just tongue twisters and I think I stuttered in them enough times that I’m prepare to be nervous to say them, thus causing a worse stutter.
