14 is a rough age. I'm really sorry you're having a bad go of it. IDK what your speech therapy experience has been. The speech therapy I had in school didn't do shit. The professional therapy I had in my teens didn't help. The *same* professional therapy worked wonders for me when I went back in my 20's. Not all therapy programs are equal. Therapy relies on the stutterer doing the work. Don't give up on therapy. It may not have helped yet, but don't eliminate it as a treatment option. I know some people in this sub are looking forward to a miracle drug of some sort to help treat stuttering. I have zero confidence in any drug being able to cure stuttering. Something might treat the anxiety, but *I* really believe any drugs promoted as treating stuttering are selling false hope. Finally, be kind to yourself. Stuttering is hard. Celebrate your victories. Even the tiniest successes need to be recognized. Stutterers always focus on every failure. It's rare for a stutterer to recognize the positives. The next time you're hard on yourself about a block, stop that immediately. Tell yourself "That wasn't easy for me to attempt, but I did. I put forth the effort. I didn't shy away from the situation. I did my best." Your best is good enough. Win or lose, you tried. That takes strength.
