Dentist thought I was retarded

Dentist thought I was retarded Went to a dentist appointment today and immediately started stuttering for 30 seconds until I conveyed what I was saying. The receptionists face completely changed and went to the back to talk to someone. When they came back they started to talk me like I was a child and kept and calling me honey. They also asked me for the number of my caretaker. Went hope and cried.
