Finally able to maintain eye contact! Not 1 minute ago may have been my first time I consciously maintained eye contact during a block. The sentence was, "What are the chances all the instructors are able to..." and I felt the block coming on "instructors." So I go, "What are the chances all the..\[maintain eye contact, slow deep breath through nostrils\] instructors \[begin word at the top of my breath\] are able to..." And she didn't look at me weird. I just came off as a fluent speaker catching his breath in the middle of a sentence like everyone does. Big deal for me as it was always so painful for me to look someone in the eye during a block. But I felt like the eye contact shortened the block. I saw her waiting for me to finish, which may have motivated me to do so, as opposed to looking away, clearly blocking, and thus admitting defeat.
