I completely understand what you're going through. I am a college student with the same problem. I also used to think the same way as you. I used to think that I stutter only when I think too much about it or expect that I will have trouble speaking. I thought my stutter was probably due to anxiety or nerves. But over time I have read widely about Stuttering & trust me, it is NOT as simple as that. Stuttering is a very complex neurodevelopmental disorder caused and sustained by a variety of factors.
